Social Media Endorsement Deals?

Posted on March 13th, by attentionera in Blog, Music Industry, Social Media, Written Articles. 1 Comment

Yesterday we signed a business management deal with a pop music recording artist Corey Pieper (aka C-Piepz).

Understandably, many are skeptical about how this fits into a media company that produces videos, manages social media channels, and sculpts brands.   We think the music business has changed and that new revenue channels for musicians, athletes, and other celebrities are opening up as the need for attention grows.

Let me explain why we’re getting into artist management:

1)  Musicians are brands

First of all, a musician is a business.  They are also a brand.  They need to tell their story through video, social media, and great designs.  That’s right up our alley.

2)  Great musicians earn attention

Since we’re in the business of helping remarkable brands earn attention, it would be natural to desire adding new tools to our toolbox.  A musician earns attention through their music, appearances, and social interactions

3)  Brands need to earn attention

Our clients, partners, and friends need to earn more attention.   Having in-house folks like C-Piepz adds to our portfolio of ways to help others earn attention.

Corey gets mini-endorsement deals in exchange for earning a brand attention and we just reduced the need to have more people in-between.

4)  We’re creating a marketplace for attention

Of course the big blockbuster endorsement deals are the goal.  However, as our Attention Network grows, it will be easier for brands to buy attention from each other in mini social media endorsement deals.

For artists like Corey, they have more attention than they can use right now and your business might not have enough.

We’ll make it easier to trade resources.

Make sense?

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the idea and his music.  Here’s one of his music videos.

If you know any remarkable artists, athletes or other celebrities looking for ways to capitalize on the attention they’re getting, we’d love to talk to them.  We’re lining up brands on both sides.

Also, since we honestly don’t have experience in the music industry, we could use help.  If you know any good booking agents, we’d like to find a great one to work with.

Our artists will need attention too.

Thanks for your attention. We appreciate it.

The guy’s music is fresh.  I’m curious to see where this will lead.

I think there’s big things ahead for Corey.
